I’m delighted that the first Sprite film – Vier Zauberhafte Schwestern – was released in Germany on 9th January 2020. We had a wonderful pre-lockdown premiere in Munich and met with the cast and production team, as well as the distribution and marketing teams from Disney.

There is a colourful book/film tie-in published by Fischer Verlag – Vier Zauberhafte Schwestern – Sounderausgabe mit Filmfotos.

The DVD and streaming of the film will be released on 24th September – but also dubbed in English-language. It is known as ‘Four Enchanted Sisters’.

This is the final story in the prequel series, which is currently published in Germany. Just to remind German readers that the first ‘Vier zauberhafte Schwestern’ film will be released on 9th January 2020. Let’s hope an English-language version of the film follows and a complete range of English-language Sprite books is published!

SPRITE MAGIC – NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WRITING

Nine words. That’s all I wrote in my diary at 1.30am on 21st January 2007.

Four girls with magic power. East. South. West. North.

The following morning, I realised this was the idea I had been waiting for. Within a matter of minutes, I’d got the title – The Sprite Sisters – and the world, the old, rambling house where I’d grown up in Norfolk. I had my characters, Flame, Marina, Ash and Ariel, with their magic powers of Fire, Water, Earth & Air. If they argued their power would weaken, but if they worked together their magic was strong and they could protect Sprite Towers. The underlying message was that everything has to come back to the balance. READ THE FULL ARTICLE ON NATIONALCENTREFORWRITING.ORG.UK

I am delighted to announce that Story House Media Group has confirmed production of the film of the Sprite Sisters books. One of Germany’s best-known screenwriters, Hortense Ulrich has written the original script, and a well-known German star, Katja Riemann, will play Glenda.

The film will be released in Germany in 2019.

Let’s hope a UK publisher picks up the books soon!
